Well, it’s that time of year again, folks — MnSearch Summit 2016 time! Who else is really excited???

Obviously I am, but that’s because I’m extremely biased. I happen to heart the MnSummit like no other — I wonder if it could be because our very own Clint Danks is co-founder of MnSearch. We’ve watched this organization grow from an idea sketched onto the proverbial cocktail napkin to drawing  330+ attendees to last year’s annual Summit.

If you don’t already know, you might be wondering just what MnSearch is.

What is MnSearch?

As I already mentioned, MnSearch grew from an idea into fruition over the past several years. What started out as a thought, “Let’s start a group for Minnesota search marketers” has snowballed into a force with which to be reckoned in the SEM world.

In MnSearch’s own words:

“The Minnesota Search Engine Marketing Association strives to help businesses and individuals keep a pulse on the latest news, trends, tactics and tools.”

And, of course, MnSearch offers more than just a networking atmosphere for its like-minded tribe of marketers; three years ago it began the annual MnSummit.

Reasons to Attend the MnSummit

I’ve said it before — the MnSearch Summit is kind of a Cinderella story!

With eyes sparkling I admit, that’s partly why I love this marketing conference so much. But the other reasons? Whew. There are several, so bear with me:

  • Great speakers
  • Engaging keynotes
  • Thought-provoking topics
  • Wonderful volunteers
  • Beautiful venues

…and the list goes on and on.

“Great” can have a lot of connotations, but suffice it to say MnSummit can boast having attracted such presenters and keynotes as Rand Fishkin, Wil Reynolds, Justin Cutroni, Oli Gardner, Larry Kim, Duane Forrester, Aleyda Solis, Arnie Kuenn, Darren Shaw, Eric Enge, Marty Weintraub, Merry Morud, Ian Lurie and more.

They’ve covered topics like link building, SEO, landing page optimization, content marketing, local search, PPC, analyzing analytics data, email marketing, international marketing…

…the list goes on!

The horde of MnSearch volunteers work their tails off to keep everything running smoothly and the venues (in 2014 it was held on the beautiful St. Thomas campus, and last year it was at the St. Paul Rivercentre).

So, you can see there are a lot of reasons to attend this summit. But — as I’m wont to say — don’t take MY word for it!

…and that’s where the Summit will be held — and that’s at the lovely Minneapolis Convention Center, located at 1301 Second Avenue S.
